Meet Md. Salman Khan, a vibrant 6-year-old boy from a modest family in Banasree, Dhaka. Diagnosed with ADHD, Salman faces unique behavioral challenges that make it difficult for him to engage with others in the typical way. Salman struggles with maintaining eye contact and often seems lost in his own world, showing signs of significant inattention and hyperactivity. Despite these difficulties, he is incredibly clever and curious, eager to explore his surroundings. However, Salman’s attachment to mobile devices has become a concern, as it often captures his attention in place of more productive activities. Physically, Salman is active and healthy, walking and playing just like other children his age. However, his lack of focus and quick forgetfulness make daily interactions and learning more challenging. His speech varies, from short words to full sentences, reflecting his struggles with articulating his thoughts and ideas. Salman’s family regularly seeks help from medical professionals. Neuroscience specialists have advised that Salman be given ample time and attention to help him improve. His dedicated mother works tirelessly to find engaging activities that will help stimulate his mind and encourage better focus. Despite the many challenges, Salman’s family remains hopeful for his progress. They are now seeking support from UHCD for therapy and educational resources that can better address his needs.
