Meet Faria Islam, a 2-year-and-5-month-old girl from Sonargaon, Narayanganj, who is battling Global Developmental Delay (GDD) and epilepsy. Despite her tender age, Faria faces significant challenges in her everyday life. She cannot walk or talk properly—she can only call her parents but is unable to respond to others. Faria relies entirely on her parents for all her daily needs and struggles with a lack of appetite, further complicating her condition.
Faria's father, a tiler with a modest income, shares his deep concern: "I cannot properly care for my daughter or afford her medications." Their limited resources make it challenging to ensure Faria receives the medical attention she desperately needs.
Currently, Faria is under the observation of the UHCD Foundation at Kolabagan.
