Lets meet with Atia Islam
Meet Atiya Islam, a 7-year-old girl living with autism. Her family began noticing differences in her development when she was just 6 months old. Over time, it became clear that Atiya faced challenges in communication and social interaction.
Atiya struggles to make eye contact and often doesn’t respond when spoken to. While she can talk, she finds it difficult to say the right things at the right time. Instead, she relies on gestures to express herself, showing less interest in verbal communication. Despite these challenges, Atiya has no difficulty walking or engaging physically; her primary struggle lies in speech and communication.
Her family has sought help from various hospitals, hoping to find effective treatment for Atiya. Unfortunately, they have yet to receive the support they need. Now, they are seeking assistance from the UHCD authorities, hopeful for a solution that will help Atiya improve her communication skills and overall quality of life.
Atiya’s story highlights the importance of tailored interventions for children with autism. With the right therapy and resources, Atiya can be empowered to better navigate the world around her.
