Mst.Mahbuba Tasnim, a 5-year-4-month-old girl from Baliadanga, Chapainawabganj Sadar, has faced severe health challenges since birth. Shortly after she was born, Mahbuba experienced seizures, and at 8 months old, she was diagnosed with pneumonia. She was hospitalized for seven days before returning home, but her health has remained fragile.
Currently, Mahbuba is bedridden and unable to sit, stand, or walk. She cannot speak or turn herself in bed without assistance. Mahbuba is the elder of two sisters and the light of her family’s life. However, her father, Mohammad Habibul Bashar Jony, who runs a small filtered water business, struggles to meet the family’s basic needs and cannot afford the specialized treatment Mahbuba urgently requires. Her mother, Mosammat Tajrin Khatun, is a homemaker who provides round-the-clock care for her.
The UHCD Foundation is currently providing basic medical support to Mahbuba, offering some relief to her family. However, advanced treatment is essential to improve her quality of life and help her regain some independence.
