Lets meet with Sumi Akter
Sumi Akhtar is a bright 13-year-old with a heart full of dreams, despite the physical challenges that have shaped her life. Born with a moderate disability that prevents her from walking due to leg issues, Sumi has never let her condition define her. As a secondary school student, she works hard to excel in her studies, determined to build a future where she can overcome her obstacles.
However, Sumi’s path to achieving her dreams is fraught with difficulty. Her father, a day laborer, does his best to support Sumi and her two younger siblings, but their financial situation has made it impossible for her to receive the medical care she needs. Without treatment, Sumi's condition continues to hinder her mobility and threatens her ability to continue her education.
But Sumi refuses to give up. She dreams of walking again, of continuing her studies without the physical limitations she faces each day. With your help, this dream can become a reality. Your support will allow Sumi to seek the medical attention she has long needed, giving her the chance to walk, thrive, and pursue her education with confidence.
