Lets meet with Sumaiya
Sumaiya, a resilient little girl from Lopara, Brahmanbaria, faces life with courage and determination despite the significant challenges posed by Cerebral Palsy, Global Developmental Delay (GDD), and Epileptic Encephalopathy.
Sumaiya’s Journey
Motor Skills: Sumaiya cannot control her head, stand, walk, or speak independently. Her fingers and toes exhibit abnormal stiffness and curling, making even simple movements difficult.
Early Signs: Her condition became apparent just six days after birth, leading her family to seek help at Mymensingh Medical Center.
Medical Needs: While doctors prescribed medication and recommended therapy, Sumaiya’s progress remains slow, and she requires ongoing specialized care. Neurologists have referred her to UHCD for essential therapy sessions to support her development.
A Family’s Unwavering Love
Sumaiya’s family, though struggling financially, is deeply committed to her well-being. Despite their lower socioeconomic status, they have tirelessly pursued every avenue to improve her condition. They hold onto hope that with consistent therapy and medical attention, Sumaiya’s quality of life can improve.
