Born during the global pandemic at home due to his family’s financial struggles, Junaid’s arrival was fraught with complications. Alarming signs appeared when he did not cry for the first 21 days of his life.
Now, Junaid struggles with fundamental developmental milestones—he has difficulty speaking, sitting, and eating properly. His health has been declining as he grows weaker each day. His father, a rickshaw driver, works tirelessly to provide for the family but cannot afford the necessary medical care or nutritious food Junaid desperately needs.
