Retu is a 17-year-old girl who has faced extraordinary challenges from a young age. At just 9 months old, a severe illness struck, leaving her unable to talk, hear, or walk properly. These setbacks have greatly impacted her development, making everyday tasks difficult and leaving her dependent on others for care.
Retu is the second of four sisters in a family with limited financial resources. Her father, a dedicated farmer, works tirelessly to provide for his daughters, but his modest income only meets their most basic needs. The family’s financial limitations mean they cannot afford the specialized medical care Retu requires, nor can they ensure consistent nutrition for her fragile health.
Despite their love and dedication, Retu’s family cannot give her the support she needs to improve her quality of life. They dream of a future where she can gain some independence and experience a fuller, healthier life. However, the cost of essential medical treatments, therapies, and proper nutrition is far beyond their reach.
