Lets meet with Taskia
Taskia is a 12-year-old girl who was born blind yet has shown courage in her young life. Despite her visual impairment, Taskia’s ability to speak and hear allows her to communicate and engage with the world around her. Her enthusiasm for learning became evident when she attended primary school, where she developed a keen interest in her studies. However, her journey has not been easy.
Her father works as a day laborer, providing for the family as best as he can, but his income is modest and barely covers their daily needs. This financial burden has left Taskia without the specialized medical care and educational support essential for her growth and learning. Although her family is dedicated to seeing her succeed, they are unable to afford the resources that would allow her to thrive academically and improve her quality of life.
Taskia’s family dreams of a future where she has the chance to continue her education and overcome the challenges of her visual impairment. With a love for learning and a hopeful outlook, she is determined to reach her potential. However, without assistance, her opportunities remain limited.
Through support from UHCD, you can help provide Taskia with the specialized resources she needs, including therapies, learning aids, and medical care. Your assistance can open doors to a brighter future for Taskia, empowering her to pursue her education and access the care necessary to achieve her dreams.
