Mim Khatun, a 7-year-old girl from a rural village in Bangladesh, lives with an intellectual disability that significantly impacts her daily life. She cannot speak, exhibits abnormal behavior, and is unable to pursue an education. These challenges prevent her from attending school and socializing like other children her age.
Mim is one of six members of her family, which includes two siblings. Her father, a farmer, works tirelessly to support them, but his limited income makes it difficult to afford the specialized care and treatment Mim requires.
Thankfully, through the support of the UHCD Foundation, Mim has started receiving medical assistance. However, her family still struggles to meet her overall needs. With your help, Mim can continue to access the care and support she needs to lead a healthier, happier life.
