He crawled at 7 months, sat up at 1 year and 8 months, and took his first steps at 2 years. However, his speech development has been significantly delayed, and he still struggles to walk and talk properly. Mahim’s mother recalls noticing differences in his development by the time he was just 3 months old. Concerned, they sought medical advice, and the doctor confirmed that Mahim was a child with special needs. Mahim’s father, a low-income worker, has been unable to provide the comprehensive treatment and specialized care Mahim requires. The family’s financial struggles are immense, making it impossible to afford visits to advanced medical facilities or specialized therapies.
