Lets meet with Drishta Andrew Gomes
Meet Drishta Andrew Gomes, a courageous 9-year-old from Rajashon, Savar, who navigates the complexities of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), speech delays, and behavioral challenges with an inspiring spirit. Despite these hurdles, Drishta radiates resilience and joy, lifting the hearts of those around him. Early on, his parents noticed a regression in his speech—once vocal before bedtime, he now struggles to express himself. In search of answers, Drishta’s mother sought help from a neuro-psychologist, who recommended therapy and a CT scan. Thankfully, while he does not have seizures, Drishta continues to face persistent insomnia.
Drishta’s love for music and TV brings him moments of happiness, and though he communicates less than his peers, he finds comfort in eating, drinking, and playing, activities that bring a sense of normalcy to his life. ADHD symptoms add to his restlessness, but with ongoing treatments, Drishta has shown small yet meaningful progress. However, the financial burden of continuous therapy has strained his family’s resources, underscoring the urgent need for support.
Drishta’s story shines a light on the challenges faced by families of children with ASD and ADHD, emphasizing the transformative impact of dedicated care and support. Your contributions can provide essential therapies and medical resources to help Drishta reach his full potential. Join us in supporting Drishta’s journey toward a brighter future.
