Lets meet with Mst. Sadia Khatun
Meet Sadia Khatun, a 14-year-old girl who is living with physical disabilities and speech delay. When she was born, everything seemed fine. But by the time she was three months old, her family noticed that something was different. Unlike other children, Sadia’s development was delayed. Concerned, her parents took her to a doctor, who informed them that Sadia is a child with special needs.
Despite reaching some milestones—her back became steady at 6 months, she began crawling at 9 months, sitting at 11 months, standing by age 1, and uttering “mom” and “dad” at age 2—Sadia’s growth soon plateaued. She still cannot walk properly or speak, and she struggles with many physical activities that other children take for granted.
Sadia’s mother shares that their family is struggling. Her father, a low-income worker, does his best to provide for them, but the cost of medical treatment and therapies is overwhelming. They are deeply worried about Sadia’s future, as she continues to face physical challenges without the specialized care she urgently needs.
With your support, Sadia can access medical treatment, physical therapy, and speech therapy that could transform her life. Every contribution brings hope to her family and opens up new possibilities for Sadia to grow, express herself, and become more independent
