Lets meet with Vusrat Jahan Rayma
Meet Vusrat Jahan Rayma, a courageous 12-year-old girl from Char Chaitali in Bhola, whose resilience shines despite her intellectual disability. As the second of three siblings, Vusrat is surrounded by a loving and supportive family that works tirelessly to meet her needs. Vusrat’s journey has been filled with challenges, but her vibrant personality continues to inspire those around her.
From a young age, Vusrat faced developmental delays that impacted her mobility and speech. Her mother recalls that by the age of five, Vusrat could barely walk, and it took several more years before she was able to stand on her own. Speech has also been a struggle, and although she has started to babble, her communication remains limited. Vusrat still needs help with most daily tasks, including using the toilet and managing basic activities.
Her family’s dedication to her well-being is unwavering. They have sought treatment from various medical centers, including Dhaka Medical College, the National Institute of Neurosciences, and Dhaka Shishu Hospital. Despite their efforts, the cost of ongoing medical care and therapy has become a heavy financial burden.
The UHCD Foundation is committed to supporting Vusrat’s journey. With your help, we can provide Vusrat with the medical treatments and therapies she needs to improve her quality of life. Your contributions will allow her to continue developing her skills and help her face the future with hope and confidence.
