Meet Nadim, a courageous 13-year-old boy living with the complexities of cerebral palsy (CP) and epilepsy. Diagnosed at birth, Nadim has encountered significant obstacles in his development. He experiences stiffness in his neck, struggles with movement, and has difficulty reaching essential developmental milestones. Although he cannot walk normally, he also faces additional challenges with his foot and has a vision impairment in his right eye, where an underdeveloped cornea has left him unable to see. Nadim’s days are filled with continuous challenges, from frequent seizures to his inability to eat or use the bathroom on his own. He remains nonverbal, expressing himself through restless movements of his hands and feet. Despite these hardships, Nadim’s resilience shines, and his circumstances have drawn the compassion of the UHCD authorities, who recognize his need for support.
