Siyam Sikder is a 9-year-old boy who faces the dual challenges of hearing impairment and visual disability. Despite these obstacles, Siyam continues to show resilience and determination. He reached early milestones like crawling at 8 months and sitting at 1 year, and he has no difficulty walking. However, his inability to hear and see properly creates significant barriers to his daily life.
Siyam communicates by talking to others, but his hearing impairment makes it difficult for him to understand conversations. His vision problems add to these challenges, leaving him unable to see clearly. These difficulties often lead to frustration and isolation, especially at school, where he struggles to connect with classmates.
Siyam attends an autism school, but his disabilities make it hard for him to engage fully in classroom activities or build relationships. His mother explains that Siyam requires constant support and care. He cannot leave the house without her, and he becomes distressed when taken to unfamiliar places.
