Modhu is a 14-year-old boy whose journey has been marked by determination despite the hurdles of living with multiple disabilities. From an early age, Modhu showed signs of delayed development. He learned to crawl at 8 months, sit at 10 months, and walk by the age of 1, but his speech remains rough and limited.
Now in his teens, Modhu struggles with daily tasks that come easily to others his age. He faces difficulties in both communication and mobility, making his life a constant challenge. Although he attends an autism school, his academic progress has been limited. His mother explains that while Modhu enjoys coming to school, he lacks the ability to learn like other children.
Physically and academically, Modhu requires specialized care and treatment to help him grow and develop. However, his family’s financial constraints have made accessing advanced medical care impossible. His mother has reached out to UHCD authorities, hoping for the support that could improve Modhu’s quality of life and open up new possibilities for him.
