Lets meet with Rafsan Gazi
Meet Rafsan Gazi, a 10-year-old boy living with Cerebral Palsy (CP).
Rafsan’s condition has significantly impacted his development and physical abilities. Although he can sit, he faces challenges with walking and standing for extended periods. His movements are limited, and his gait is abnormal. Speech development has also been affected—while Rafsan understands much of what is said to him, he cannot express himself verbally, except with his parents.
Rafsan’s journey has been difficult from the start. He did not cry after birth and did not crawl as an infant. His parents began noticing differences in his development around the age of four months. Concerned, they sought medical advice, and it was then they learned about his disability. Despite their persistent efforts over the years, Rafsan’s physical and verbal abilities have not improved as they hoped.
Rafsan’s mother highlights his primary challenges: difficulty walking, inability to communicate effectively with others, and a delay in overall maturity compared to his age. His parents remain dedicated to his care, but they have yet to find a treatment or therapy that brings noticeable improvement.
Now, Rafsan’s family seeks specialized support from UHCD, hoping to find new opportunities for Rafsan to grow and thrive. With proper intervention, Rafsan may experience progress in his physical and communicative abilities, giving him a better chance at a fulfilling life.
