Faizan Akram Avi a lively 8-year-old, has always been a bundle of energy. Salman is a spirited young man with Down Syndrome , which makes his daily life a whirlwind of activity. From a young age, Salman’s mother noticed he was different. At birth, he seemed healthy, but by age 7, his behavior began to change. Concerned, she took him to a specialist who diagnosed Avi with Down Syndrome and prescribed medication to help manage his symptoms. Despite his struggles, Salman is a bright and responsive student in the 5th grade. However, his Down Syndrome makes it challenging for him to focus on his studies, leading to frequent mischief. He describes Salman’s intense anger and the destructive tantrums that follow if his demands are unmet. The family faces considerable financial strain due to Avis's condition, adding to their daily challenges. Yet, despite the hardships, they remain hopeful and dedicated to providing Avi's with the support he needs to thrive.
