Lets meet with Samira Akter
Little Samira, just 3 years old, is a quiet, gentle soul with the most innocent eyes — but behind those eyes is a struggle her small body cannot express.
Since the early months of her life, Samira has faced severe motor delay challenges. She cannot speak. She cannot walk. Most days, she simply lies still, watching the world around her without being able to join in. Her mother first noticed something was different when Samira wasn’t reaching the milestones other babies her age were. Since then, her days have been filled with worry, hope, and heartbreak.
Despite being taken to the Upazila Health Complex, Samira has yet to receive any advanced treatment for her condition. Her family wants to do everything they can for her, but the resources just aren’t there.
Samira lives with her parents and older sister in a small home filled with love — but burdened with hardship. Her father works tirelessly as a day laborer, doing everything he can to put food on the table. But the cost of specialized medical care is far beyond their reach.
Currently, Samira is receiving some support from the UHCD Foundation, which is helping her begin her journey toward healing. But to truly give Samira a chance to stand, speak, and play like other children, she needs ongoing and advanced medical treatment.
Her family is asking for your help. Your support — no matter how small — can make a world of difference. It can bring therapy, expert care, and hope into Samira’s life. With your kindness, Samira could take her first step. Say her first word. Smile because she feels understood.
Your $29 monthly gift will give Her access to
