Shamim, an 18-year-old with a speech impairment, was born healthy, but at just three months old, he suffered from a high fever and convulsions that led to his current condition. Although his family sought treatment in his early years, financial constraints soon made it impossible to continue. While they have consulted local doctors, the costs of advanced care have remained out of reach.
Shamim’s father, a farmer, works hard to provide for the family, but food and medical expenses present a heavy financial strain. Recently, arrangements have been made for Shamim to receive medical care through the UHCD Foundation, but additional support is needed to ensure he receives the comprehensive care he deserves.
