Lets meet with Mst. Nupur Khatun
Her name is Nupur Khatun. She is 14 years and 5 months old.
From the very beginning, life has been a battle for Nupur. When she came into the world, she did not cry like other newborns. Her first cries came only after the doctor examined her, but soon after, her cries faded into an unusual silence. It was as if, even as a baby, she carried a quiet pain within her.
As the days passed, her parents noticed that something was not right. She was not developing like other children. She took nine months to crawl, nearly two years just to sit, and only at the age of three did she speak her first words. But even those milestones, so precious yet so delayed, came with struggles.
Now, at 14 years old, Nupur cannot walk properly. She cannot speak as she once could. Her body does not listen to her the way it should. Her mother, with a heart heavy with worry, recalls how she first realized that Nupur was different.
"When she turned three, we knew something was wrong. She was not like the other children. We took her to a doctor, and that day, our lives changed forever. The doctor told us she was a special needs child."
Her father, a man of humble means, works tirelessly, but his income is barely enough to provide food and shelter. Proper medical treatment for Nupur remains a distant dream.
"We want nothing more than to see her receive the care she needs," her mother pleads. "But every day, we struggle—not just against our financial hardships, but against the weight of knowing that our child is suffering, and we are powerless to help her."
Nupur's condition is not just a medical issue—it is a daily fight for survival. Every step is a challenge, every word unspoken is a loss, and every unfulfilled need is a silent heartbreak for her family.
Today, they reach out with hope—hope that someone, somewhere, will hear their plea. Hope that Nupur will get the treatment she so desperately needs. Hope that she, too, can have a chance at a better life.
