Mizan Ali, a 5-year-old boy, has been battling physical disability and speech delay since birth. Despite his struggles, he continues to show resilience, supported by the love and care of his family. From the moment he was born, Mizan’s journey has been filled with challenges. He experienced seizures shortly after birth and did not cry much, causing his parents concern. However, when he saw the doctor, he cried excessively and did not stop for a long time. As he grew, his development was noticeably delayed. Mizan began crawling at 8 months, sat up at 1 year and 8 months, walked at 3 years, and spoke his first words at 4. However, his progress was slow, and currently, he is unable to walk or speak properly. His mother recalls noticing differences in Mizan’s development when he was just 6 months old. Concerned, they took him to the doctor, who diagnosed him as a special needs child. Since then, the family has struggled to provide him with the necessary medical care. Mizan’s father, a low-income worker, finds it difficult to afford treatment for his son. His mother dedicates her time to looking after him, but the financial burden has made it nearly impossible to access proper healthcare and therapy. The family is seeking support from United Health Care for the Disabled (UHCD) in the hope that Mizan can receive the medical attention and therapy he desperately needs. His mother shares, “We are facing countless challenges due to Mizan’s condition. The financial struggles are overwhelming, and we haven’t been able to take him to a good hospital or consult a specialist. We sincerely hope for help to ensure a better future for him.” Mizan’s journey is one of perseverance.
