Lets meet with Abdul Aziz Shaon
Meet Abdul Aziz Shaon, an 11-year-old boy with a radiant smile and an indomitable spirit. Shaon has been living with the challenges of cerebral palsy, a condition that affects his ability to move and speak like other children his age.
Shaon’s journey has been filled with struggles. He can sit but cannot walk properly due to curved legs and ankle problems. Standing upright is difficult for him, and even his fingers are affected, making everyday activities a challenge. While he can speak, Shaon often chooses to remain silent, avoiding conversations and responses.
Shaon's mother recalls:
"At first, we didn’t notice anything unusual. But by the time he was six months old, his disability became evident. We tried to get help, but due to financial difficulties, we couldn’t afford advanced treatment. He’s seen doctors at UHCD several times, but all they could do was provide some medicines."
Despite these challenges, Shaon has so much potential. With proper treatment and support, his quality of life could drastically improve. Specialized therapies and medical interventions can help:
