Lets meet with Mst.Rojoni Khatun
In the quiet town of Chapainawabganj, Bangladesh, the story of 15-year-old Rojoni Khatun unfolds as a poignant tale of resilience and renewal. Since the age of seven, Rojoni has faced relentless challenges stemming from multiple joint pain and severe deformities. These conditions confined her to a life of constant pain and limited mobility, forcing her to leave school and abandon her dreams of a brighter future.
The hardships in Rojoni’s life deepened when her parents abandoned her, leaving her in the care of her elderly grandparents. Despite their love and unwavering support, their meager resources left them unable to provide the medical attention Rojoni desperately needed. For eight long years, she endured her struggles in silence, seeking treatments that offered no relief.
Hope arrived in the form of the UHCD Foundation, whose intervention proved to be a turning point in Rojoni's life. Through their support, she received a specialized treatment plan that not only eased her pain but also improved her mobility. For the first time in years, Rojoni could envision a life beyond her physical limitations.
Recognizing her desire to continue her education, the UHCD Foundation facilitated her return to school, giving her the chance to chase her aspirations. To support her newfound independence, they provided her with a custom-designed mobility chair, enabling her to move around with ease and reclaim a sense of freedom.
Today, Rojoni is a shining example of courage and determination. Back in school and surrounded by peers, she is embracing opportunities that once seemed out of reach. Her story stands as a powerful reminder of the profound impact that compassion and support can have in transforming lives. With continued encouragement, Rojoni is now on a path to fulfilling her dreams and redefining her future.
