Lets meet with Doli Khatun
Doli Khatun is a brave 11-year-old girl from Fatehpur, Chapainawabganj, Bangladesh. She lives with right-sided hemiparesis, which brings daily challenges and obstacles. Her right leg is thinner and weaker, unable to bend at the knee. Simple things like walking or balancing become challenging tasks. She often stumbles, struggling to keep her balance, and even reaching for something can be frustrating with her limited coordination and strength.
Everyday activities, like helping with chores or going to school, are challenging for Doli. Many days, she stays home because navigating the world safely isn’t easy. Her mother is her primary support, helping with her personal care and education to ensure she doesn’t fall behind, even when she misses school. Her father, Shahadat Hossain, works abroad to support the family and provide for Doli’s needs from afar.
Despite these hardships, Doli finds joy in the little things. She loves watching her mother cook, admiring every movement. Art also brings her happiness, and she enjoys drawing with her brother’s help, expressing herself through creativity when words and movements sometimes fall short.
Doli’s family dreams of getting her the medical support she needs. She could improve her coordination, balance, and muscle control with specialized therapies. This could help her move beyond her limitations and find greater independence. Your support can open new possibilities for Doli, giving her the stability and strength to confidently navigate her world and pursue her dreams.
