Lets meet with Md. Al Mamun Riyad
In a quiet village in Chapainawabganj, Bangladesh, five-year-old Md. Al Mamun Riyad battles a life filled with struggles. Diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy (CP), Global Developmental Delay (GDD), and Epilepsy, Riyad’s journey has been anything but easy. His battle began just two days after birth when he suffered severe seizures, forcing him into a week-long stay at Rajshahi Medical Hospital. The medications he received stiffened his small body, leaving his nerves tense and his movements uncontrolled.
Today, Riyad cannot walk or communicate like other children his age. He often runs aimlessly, struggling to control his limbs, and unknowingly scratches his own face with his tiny nails. Each day presents new challenges, but his parents remain unwavering in their love and dedication. They run a small grocery store, working tirelessly to provide for their family. However, their modest income barely covers daily necessities, leaving them unable to afford the specialized treatments Riyad desperately needs.
Despite his challenges, Riyad’s eyes shine with a desire to experience the world like other children. With proper therapy and medical care, he has a chance to develop, to learn, and to gain control over his body. His future is not lost—it just needs a helping hand.
