Lets meet with Exclude It
Thirteen-year-old Anika Raihan hails from a village in Chapainawabganj, Bangladesh. This little girl has been fighting cerebral palsy since her childhood days. Due to this condition, she can only be seen to move around in a wheelchair, and her speech is incoherent. Having weak limbs, she often stutters over words as she tries to speak, which does not help in making effective conversations.
She loves going to school. She hopes to rise above her limitations through education. In the classroom, Anika finds happiness and dreams of achieving specific goals later and giving back to her community.
Her father is a hardworking farmer to feed their family, but they barely get by with his work. The meager income derived from his labor is barely enough for the bare needs of life, not to mention the medication and therapies that she needs to develop her residual mobility and communication skills. However, amidst all adversities, her family remains supportive and encourages her to pursue her education and dreams.
Anika is confident that one day, she will get the support she needs to live a far more fulfilling life. She wants to undergo various therapies that would enhance her abilities and clear speech and make it easier so that she could communicate with her fellows more appropriately and clearly express her sentiments and opinions.
She feels that she can live her dream and work constructively for her community with proper support. It would be great if a helping hand could be extended toward Anika to support her in receiving much-needed care to open better avenues of life. Together, we can help her rise above challenges and realize her fullest potential.
