Nine-year-old Md. Raian Hossain, with multiple disabilities, spends his time in the village of Chapainawabganj in Bangladesh. He is diagnosed with cerebral palsy, Global Developmental Delay, Febrile Seizures, and mild physical limitations. Raian cannot speak or eat on his own; he is mostly confined to his bed, his frail limbs speaking volumes of his physical discomforts.
Raian's mother is the source of his constant care, devotion, and support. His father, a teacher, strives laboriously on a very small income to make both ends meet. Financially, there is hardly any possibility for them to provide the required therapies and treatments.
