Lets meet with Shihab
Shihab is a 15-year-old boy whose life has been marked by severe challenges from the moment he was born. Living with multiple physical disabilities, Shihab faces an incredibly difficult daily life. His right eye is affected by a large tumor that causes both physical discomfort and emotional distress. Shihab is also missing fingers on both hands, making even simple tasks, like eating, dressing, or grooming himself, nearly impossible without assistance. Along with these physical challenges, Shihab also faces significant cognitive impairments that limit his ability to learn, understand, and communicate with others. As a result, everyday life for him is not just difficult, but isolating. He struggles to interact with his peers, unable to participate in activities that most children his age take for granted. His inability to express himself has only compounded the frustrations and challenges he faces every day.
Shihab has lived with these conditions for his entire life, but his family has been unable to provide him with the medical care he desperately needs. Despite the family's best efforts, the lack of access to proper medical treatment has meant that his condition has not improved and, in some cases, has worsened. The tumor on his eye remains untreated, and his cognitive and physical disabilities continue to hinder his ability to perform even the simplest tasks.
His father, a farmer, works tirelessly to support the family, but the financial strain of daily survival has left little room for the costly medical treatments that could help Shihab. With limited resources and no means of affording proper healthcare, Shihab's family has been forced to watch him struggle in silence. They are deeply concerned about his future, knowing that without intervention, his condition will continue to deteriorate. To make matters even more challenging, the family faces social stigma from their neighbors. Shihab’s disabilities have led to negative remarks and judgment from those around them, adding emotional strain to an already difficult situation. This social isolation only intensifies the family’s hardships, as they lack the support of a community that understands or empathizes with their struggles.
Despite these overwhelming challenges, Shihab’s family refuses to give up on him. His parents love him deeply and want to provide him with the opportunity for a better life—one that includes proper medical care, education, and a chance to live with dignity. But without outside support, they simply cannot afford the treatment Shihab needs.
That’s where your help comes in. Your support can provide Shihab with medical care and treatment that could significantly improve his quality of life. Proper medical attention could help reduce the tumor in his eye, enhance his cognitive function, and provide him with the physical therapy he needs to regain some independence. With your help, Shihab can experience a life beyond his current limitations, one that includes opportunities for education, social interaction, and personal growth.
The need is urgent, and the difference your support can make in Shihab’s life is immeasurable. By giving to his cause, you’re not just providing medical care—you’re offering hope, dignity, and a brighter future to a young boy who deserves so much more than he has been given. With your generosity, Shihab and his family can begin to see the possibility of a better tomorrow.
