Riya is a courageous 12 year old girl living with the challenges of Cerebral Palsy and seizures, conditions which have shaped her life since infancy. Shortly after her birth, she suffered from a severe fever and seizures which left her critically ill. Unfortunately, her family who were unaware of the severity of her situation, were unable to get her the crucial medical acre that she needed at the time. Today, Riya faces significant obstacles—she cannot speak, struggles with constant drooling and has weak legs and stiff muscles that make movement impossible. Despite these hardships, she is surrounded by the unwavering love and care of her family. As the eldest of two siblings, Riya holds a special place in her family’s hearts and they dream of providing her with the care she needs to improve her quality of life. However, financial difficulties have made it impossible for her family to afford the medical treatments and therapies Riya needs.
