She is Suffering from a congenital disorder since birth, Mou suffers from macrocephaly. Her condition, in conjunction with her intellectual disability, has a notable impact on her life, making even most day-to-day activities difficult. Due to the developmental delays in early life, everything started much later than in the lives of her contemporaries. She is far behind her age group regarding physical development and cognitional skills. Her movements are far from light, and she needs support while navigating a room. Even mere conversations tend to confuse her, and at times, she cannot understand the meaning of words or phrases; thus, it becomes hard for her to communicate with them. Her family is the most valuable part of her life, and though they face financial struggles, their love and support for her are unconditional. Her parents are trying to do everything possible to bring her and her siblings up, but the costs related to Mou's care are too overwhelming. The community lacks severe access to therapy and educational resources for children born with disabilities, and hence, they feel helpless in trying to help her reach her full potential. Mou aspires to attend a facilitating school where she can learn and grow with children her age. She aspires for a better future in which her impoverished existence would no longer hinder her ambitions and dreams. If proper support from compassionate people and organizations exists, then change is possible in her life.
