Lets meet with Exclude It
Mehjabin Afroz Bristi is a 12 year old girl who lives with her parents and three sisters in a small village in Chapainawabganj, Bangladesh. She is diagnosed with intellectual disability, and Mehjabin faces daily challenges that prevent her from attending school or understanding many of the things around her. Despite overcoming childhood illnesses like pneumonia with treatment from a local doctor, her intellectual challenges have persisted, making it difficult for her to interact, learn, and play like other children her age.
Mehjabin’s family, particularly her father, Tariqul Islam, who works as a farmer, provides her with constant care. Her mother, a housewife, stays by her side, helping with all her daily needs and ensuring she feels loved and secure. However, her family’s limited income from farming barely covers their basic expenses, leaving little for Mehjabin's treatment or any specialized care she may need. With their resources stretched thin, her family can manage only minimal medical visits, which are insufficient to support Mehjabin’s ongoing developmental needs.
Although Mehjabin has limited intellectual abilities, she is gentle and affectionate, finding joy in spending time with her family. Her parents wish for her to live a life with fewer struggles and more opportunities for growth and learning, yet these dreams feel distant given their financial constraints.
Through UHCD, you can offer Mehjabin the chance to access the care and support she needs to live with dignity and comfort. Your contribution can make a meaningful difference in her life, providing her family with the means to give her the therapies, tools, and medical support that can improve her quality of life. Please consider supporting Mehjabin Afroz Bristi and helping her family secure a brighter future for her.
