Mohammad Mehedi Hasan, an 18-year-old young boy from Purapara, Rajarampur, Chapainawabganj Sadar, has been struggling with health issues since infancy. At just 8 months old, he suffered a severe seizure and was hospitalized for three days at Chapainawabganj Sadar Hospital. Although he recovered temporarily, his condition has persisted over the years.
Currently, Mehedi experiences frequent seizures, cognitive difficulties, and heightened irritability. Standing at 75 inches tall and weighing 84 kilograms, his health challenges significantly impact his daily life. He is the eldest among his siblings, with one brother and two sisters. His intellectual disabilities have not allowed him to go to school thus his parents are highly concerned about his future.
His father, Mohammad Rafiqul Islam, works abroad but earns a modest income, which is barely sufficient to meet the family's needs. His mother, Mosammat Shahanaz Parveen, is a homemaker. Despite their efforts, the family struggles to afford Mehedi's medical expenses, leaving them in a desperate situation.
Fortunately, Mehedi is receiving basic treatment and support from the UHCD Foundation. However, his condition requires advanced medical care to ensure a better quality of life. His family is appealing for financial assistance to provide Mehedi with the treatment he urgently needs.
