Lets meet with Umme Habiba
Umme Habiba is an 8-year-old girl who bravely faces the challenges of physical disability and cerebral palsy. While no significant issues were evident at birth, her parents began noticing concerns early on. Habiba did not cry much after birth and started crying excessively after seeing a doctor. Over time, she began to show developmental delays.
Habiba crawled at 8 months, learned to sit at 1 year and 8 months, started walking at age 2, and began speaking at age 3. However, her progress slowed, and now she struggles to walk or speak properly. Her mother recalls noticing differences in Habiba compared to other children as early as three months old. A doctor later confirmed that Habiba was a special needs child.
Her father, a low-income worker, has been unable to afford proper medical care for her. Despite their best efforts, financial constraints have prevented them from taking her to specialized hospitals or consulting with experienced doctors. The family faces immense difficulties, both emotionally and financially, in providing for Habiba’s needs.
With the support of the UHCD Foundation, Habiba’s family hopes she can receive the treatment and care she requires. Your assistance can make a transformative impact on Habiba’s life, helping her access medical services, therapy, and a better future.
