Mosammat Rafiya Khatun, a 4-year-9-month-old girl from Sabek Labanga, Ranihati, Shibganj, Chapainawabganj, has been battling health issues since birth. Shortly after she was born, Rafiya suffered from seizures and was admitted to Chapainawabganj Sadar Hospital. After receiving treatment, she was brought home. However, her condition remains critical.
Rafiya continues to experience frequent seizures and cannot speak. She is 35 inches tall and weighs 11 kilograms. Despite being the only child of her parents, they face immense difficulties in providing for her care. Her father, Mohammad Robiul Islam, works as a mason, and her mother, Mosammat Finaki, is a homemaker. Their modest income is insufficient to cover the cost of Rafiya’s advanced medical treatment.
Currently, Rafiya is receiving basic medical support through the UHCD Foundation, which has brought some relief to her struggling family. However, her condition requires specialized care to improve her quality of life and give her a chance to grow up healthier and happier.
