Habiba is a brave 6-year-old girl who faces significant challenges due to a speech delay and mobility issues. At just six months old, she suffered from a severe fever, seizures, and pneumonia, which impacted her development. She learns new skills more slowly than other children her age, can only say a few words, and struggles to speak fluently. Habiba also faces difficulties with walking and often falls, making daily life more challenging for her.
Despite her obstacles, Habiba attends school and works hard to keep up with her peers. In her early years, she received some medical treatment, but as she grew, her family’s financial hardships made it impossible to continue her care. Her father, a mason, struggles to provide for the family’s basic needs, while her mother dedicates herself to caring for Habiba.
Thanks to the UHCD Foundation, Habiba has begun receiving medical assistance, bringing renewed hope to her family. However, her journey toward better speech and mobility requires ongoing support, including therapy and specialized care.
Habiba’s family dreams of a future where she can walk confidently and communicate freely with those around her. They are appealing for support to ensure she continues receiving the treatment she needs to overcome her challenges and achieve a more independent and fulfilling life.
