Lets meet with Mahika Mehrun
Mahika is an 8-year-old girl from Bangladesh living with autism and speech delay. Her family first noticed her challenges when she was just 3 years old. Mahika often displays unique behaviors that make daily life a challenge for both her and her family. Despite these obstacles, she attends a special education school, where she is making a heartfelt effort to learn and grow.
Her father works hard in a modest job, but his limited income makes it nearly impossible to afford the specialized therapies and care Mahika needs. Her mother dedicates herself full-time to caring for Mahika, ensuring she receives the love and support essential for her well-being. However, the financial strain has made it difficult to provide consistent and effective treatment.
Through the support of the UHCD Foundation, Mahika is receiving some medical care, offering a glimmer of hope to her family. With continued therapy and interventions, Mahika has the potential to improve her communication skills and embrace a brighter future.
